ASIAN INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOVASCULAR THERAPEUTICS ( AICT ), BANGKOK 2013.

Last week, after Port Dickson, I fly out to Bangkok to join the AICT meeting at Bangkok, from 14th Nov - 16th Nov 2013. Dr Wasan U ( Organising chairman AICT ), was kind enough to invite ICF to participate at AICT, and asked us to run a session there.

This AICT meeting was held at the conference center of the Grand Centara Hotel, Bangkok. I am ot sure of the number of participants. Some of the sessions were thin, maybe because we were also at the shopping district of Bangkok.
As proper, Dr Wasan did acknowledge the catastrophy occurrng in Tacloban from Typhoon Haiyan, at his opening address.
The ICF session went well. The room was filled and we discussed 8 interesting cases ( 5 from Malaysia, and 3 from Thailand ).
The hotel was 5 star and service was good.  Food was good.
The conference itself had nothing new to show. It was BVS, Axxess bifurcation, Combo stent, rotablator, IVUS, OCT, the usual toys. Renal Denervation and TAVI was also featured, as was LA occluder and septal ablation. Basically the same old subjects without new things.
The weather was good. It did rain for a while at dinner. There were some protest demostration heard as Grand Centara Hotel was across the road from the Royal Thai Police HQ.
Overall, nice meeting and the ICF session went well. Met many friends and they all looked well.
